Ella has had lengthy experience with working with curly, coily, wavy & textured hair. Our salon is founded and run by people of colour, dedicated to make Elvies a safe and open home for everyone.
We approach hair holistically. We don’t just cut hair, we want to know your story: who are you, what makes you smile, what are you passionate about, what do you love most about yourself? What is your hair story? And how can we move forward together to care for you and your hair?
In our salon, we tell stories and listen to them. We believe that when stories weave together, we begin to understand each other. Elvies is a family and you are invited to our home.
Elvies is named after our founder Ella’s mother. Her nurturing, joyful and independent spirit reminds us that through community, every problem can be carried together and every individual success is for all to celebrate. It is Elvies wholehearted approach to life, that we inhabit every day in our salon.
