Macramè is a form of textile produced using knotting. I started this little handmade business because I love how versatile this form of fibre art is. I’ve only just started learning Macrame a few months ago so still very much a newbie a lot to learn still but this is an exciting journey and I am enjoying the process as well as the freedom it gives me.
A stay at home mum with 2 young babies. I was in the process of returning to work however one of my kids required special care for the time being and I needed to stay home. I was inspired to do Macramè through my mother who has a textile background. Using simple materials like recycled cotton twine, jute, hemp, or yarn, macramé can be as simple or complex as the crafter would like. Using Macramé techniques I make Wall hangings and plant hangers, keyrings, coasters etc… currently in the process of making jewellery, purses, and even clothing etc….which I will continue to add to my Etsy store.
