We are a family of first-generation Samoans, born in New Zealand and passionate about our Pasefika roots. Our parents migrated in the early 1970s and worked tirelessly to pave the pathways of opportunities that we now have.
In honour of Lagi (the original owner) and her services for our Pacific people and communities in the last 30 years, we have amended the spelling of the store to accurately represent her name. We are now simply – LAGI.
We aim to meet the style needs of urban Pacific people, while still providing you with the best of our traditional arts and crafts made by local carvers in the Pacific. We also strongly support and endorse Pasefika businesses and source all our products from them.
Our brand represents and celebrates Pasefika cultures and languages – the past, present and the future!
We create rich literacy resources that promote Samoan language and culture while developing cultural confidence and understanding amongst all our tamaiti (children), `āiga (families) and fai`āoga (educators) #TusiFaitauForAllTheFanau
