A modern take on traditional Polynesian fashion, that allows all Polynesian nationalities to express their culture.

I had moved back to Rarotonga in the Cook Islands from Australia with my then 3-year-old daughter Keziah and since having her I’d become increasingly interested in the baby and kids fashion industry.

I had noticed that mums like me were producing some amazing stuff from their own home sewing rooms which got me thinking, hey I could do that but instead use all the amazing bright Polynesian print fabrics found in Raro. I took a textile class in high school for a short time but by no means was an adequate or knowledgeable seamstress, so after much trial and error and Googling I managed to create some unique baby and kid’s outfits that I went on to sell at the local markets. Luckily enough I had amazingly talented grandmothers who could sew extremely well which I put down to having my passion for sewing and design.

I had so much fun coming up with new ideas to create and would get quite a buzz from it.  I had the perfect little model to try them on and hence Little Mamas was born with the addition of Little Papas being added in due time.

I’ve tried to stay true to my own designs and taste on the Little Mamas and Papas journey which has always been to create modern, unique, island-inspired clothing. I’ve really enjoyed extending my designs out to the entire family becoming a go-to shop for many of my customers family events.

Today our items are shipped all over the world and I look forward to sharing more of my passion for design with you.

My main inspiration behind the brand is, and always will be my daughter Keziah.
